Project of interior design and integral reform of a practical, elegant and carefree dwelling
Often the reform is the best option to update a home that has lost its charm and practicality over the years. We always say that the things that happen in a space transform it and this is an example. A bachelor flat, which happens to be a flat for a couple and eventually a child arrives who later grows up. Everything changes and the spaces are adapted with hands of paint, furniture positions, a new sofa,… But there comes a time when we need something more and that is when the walls tremble.
In this project we have listened to the three members that live in and we have developed a project to suit them, designed for the moment, but with a view to the future. Proof of this is the line of sober and elegant style, with natural colors that favor rest and support well the passage of time. The new distribution is based on the relocation of the kitchen, the liberation of space for the other rooms and the meticulous design of the furniture.
If we make the tour, we see how a minimum receiver gives way to the kitchen, dining room and living room. The distribution of the pieces of the kitchen between the walls distribute the space and make the most of the surface by opening the space and maximizing accessibility. The double functionality of the central island / dining table is extended if necessary to accommodate more diners connecting with the living room. We take advantage of the walls to embed to the maximum the useful space of this floor of modest dimensions. In this way, we reach the only bathroom that serves the three people who live on the floor. Three basic pieces with built-in mechanisms and small details that try to take the bathroom out of its strict functionality. The last room is a space for rest, for work and for leisure: a small universe made to measure and in direct collaboration with its occupant. Thinking about the distribution together with the custom furniture design maximizes the possibilities of any home, no matter how small its dimensions.
